The Battle of the Bronx made its way to Brooklyn this year, where Manhattan College defeated Fordham 71-57 at the Barcalys Center.

Fordham opened the game 16-4, but the Jaspers mounted a comeback and the Rams began missing shots, leading to a 30-25 lead for Manhattan at the half.

In the second half Manhattan picked up right where they left off, pulling away from Fordham and taking the game 71-57.

Mandell Thomas led the way for the Rams with 14 points, as freshman Eric Paschall got into foul trouble early and was limited to seven points on 2-8 shooting.

Denver Broncos Wide Receiver Greg Wilson

For Greg Wilson, the path to the Super Bowl was an unlikely one. A mere two weeks ago, Wilson was out in San Francisco selling insurance to make a life. Now, he's back in the city that never sleeps on the practice squad for a team that has a chance to win Super Bowl XLVIII.

The 6-foot wideout played his last two years of college ball at Fordham after transferring from Diablo Valley Community College. Wilson scored four touchdowns in each of his two years and had over 1,000 receiving.

After college Wilson was bounced around from tryout to tryout, spending time at the 49ers' rookie minicamp and even trying out for Denver earlier this year. Still, he was out of luck until about two weeks ago when the practice squad offer came. That changed his whole life around, even sending him 4,000 miles away.

But, so far, the rookie wideout seems to be enjoying himself. Our own Mack Rosenberg and Nick Logerfo caught up with the wide receiver at Denver media day.

Fordham head basketball coach Tom Pecora joined me in his weekly spot on One on One to talk all things Fordham hoops. The Rams are 7-6 heading into conference play, and coach talked about how disappointing the last two games (an eight point loss to Harvard at home and a ten point loss to Siena on the road) have been. We also looked back on the non-conference portion of the schedule.

Coach Pecora will be on One on One every Saturday throughout conference play.
